Good evening (or afternoon, lunch break, morning commute, the poet’s hour—whenever you’re listening to this), and welcome to The Ecstatic Review! I’m Cate, and I’ll be your host for the… whatever time of day or night it is where you are.
Please don’t turn off your cell phone or other electronic device, because that’s how you’re going to enjoy this whole thing. But you might want to turn off notifications, close extra tabs—give yourself a little time and space to enjoy this show that’s all about showing up fully as you.
If you’ve got some candy to unwrap, go ahead and do that now—and while you’re at it, grab a whole snack or a refreshing beverage! We’re big fans of snacks here at The Ecstatic Review: the only rule I really have for doing anything is don’t do it hungry, so by all means: nourish yourself.
Be advised that while The Ecstatic Review doesn’t contain things like fog machines, strobe lights, or loud noises… well, other than this megaphone I got that I’m really excited about—hang on, I’ll grab it real quick.
[Hello, from my megaphone.]
…it does contain things that might make you think differently, see yourself with fresh eyes, and feel inspired to boldly express all that you are. It's not a guarantee, but the odds are in your favor if you stick around.
On that note, please take a moment to locate the exit nearest to you (always a good idea in the event that you need to go somewhere). And if you do, I hope you have a great time wherever it is, and that you’ll come back—because I’m genuinely ecstatic that you’re here.
I know there are a lot of things filling up our inboxes these days, and I’m going to do everything I can to make sure that everything in The Ecstatic Review makes your inbox fuller in the best way possible. Full of joy, full of possibility, full of fullness.
Which brings me back to the topic of snacks: Did you get some sustenance? If so, there’s really only one more thing left to do: sit back, relax, and enjoy The Ecstatic Review!
Snacks are encouraged
